# ReqRes Pricing

ReqRes is a hosted REST API platform. The legacy fake-data API at https://reqres.in/api/* is free and open with no signup. Sign up for a paid plan to build your own backend with custom collections, app-user authentication, request logs, and automations.

All paid signups include a 14-day trial of Dev tier features. After the trial you move to the Free tier - your data, projects, and collections stay intact.

## ReqRes for Agents (separate product line)

Aimed at AI coding agents and platform companies. The free tier of `/agent/v1/*` is open with no signup at 100 requests/day per IP, and exposes 3 sample failure scenarios. Subscribers get the full sandbox plus Dev-tier BaaS quotas as a bundle.

## Free tier behaviour

- The Free tier is permanent. There is no trial timer that breaks your endpoints.
- New signups get a 14-day trial of Dev tier limits (20,000 requests/day, full features).
- After the 14-day trial, you move to the Free tier (250 requests/day on the personal backend; the legacy `/api/*` endpoints stay free and open).
- Your data, projects, collections, app users, and API keys all remain intact across the trial-to-free transition.
- Upgrade at any time to restore higher limits.

## Free public fake-data API (no signup)

The legacy ReqRes API at `https://reqres.in/api/*` has been free and open since 2014. No API key, no signup. Use it for:

- Testing fetch / axios / curl examples in tutorials and docs
- Demoing API integrations
- CI pipelines that need a stable test endpoint
- Practising HTTP clients

The legacy API will remain free. Sign up only if you want a persistent backend with custom data, authentication, or request logs.

## Region availability and currency

- Pricing is in USD and applies globally.
- Local payment methods are supported via Stripe (cards from 50+ countries, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link).
- Purchasing power parity (PPP) discounts apply automatically based on geolocation at checkout for some regions.

## Refunds

- Monthly subscriptions: refundable within 7 days of your first payment.
- Annual subscriptions: pro-rata refundable within 30 days.
- Email hello@reqres.in to request a refund.

## Cancellation

- Cancel any time from `https://app.reqres.in/billing` - access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- After cancellation you move to the Free tier; your data stays.
